Dear G.,
Please write words always. Your words are nutrients. We need them for sustenance.
Personally, I admire your compassionate wisdom, and your courage and determination to live well. You fight to find truth and grounding in a slippery world for yourself, but in doing so you have enlightened others as well. Your sincerity, quick wit, humor and generous friendship are lifelines…lifelines work both ways.
I’m right here if you ever need a “sleepy happy face” and a head in a toque to smile at you. Visit often!
Your pal,
Clare

Clare… Merry Christmas. You’ve kept me going on the days when I just wanted to give it all up. I hope the New Year brings you all the peace you deserve.
Merry Christmas to you too my dear friend G. The song and sentiment warm me.
And it is true for me as well, that our friendship has strengthened me and motivated me to care for myself in healthy ways–but our special friendship has also taught me to look out for others who may not be on as firm ground as I am.
I have so much to be grateful for as I consider the year’s end…you are in a prominent place on that list.
XXOO
There’s a strong possibility sometime in the next 7-10 days you’ll be receiving your very own small piece of Canada in your mailbox.
What?!?
I know! Totally!
I’m just not sure exactly which piece. It could be Toronto, it could be a couple of beavers or it could be a handful of snow.
I know someone who once received Jim Carrey, a movie starring Neve Campbell and a bag of milk.
Once we start mailing pieces around the world we never really know what’s going to happen.
So just keep an eye on your mail box after the middle of next week. There could be a box in there filled with some pissed off beavers covered in milk and the gnawed up carcass of Mike Myers.
Oh, G. I was feeling so depressed today and your comment makes me smile. Thank you…
And it wasn’t just a random DVD of a movie starring Neve Campbell someone got in the mail, it was an entire production… like the director, best boy, grip, food people, producers and Neve. It was a bit of a mess.
